My admiration to Dame Vivienne Westwood is like America’s to Obama, she is every part the living cool, not only through her contribution to fashion but her involvement in society and political stance.
At the 2008 Walpole Awards for Excellence in British Luxury last night, fashion royalty Westwood, urged UK companies to strive for "quality not quantity" in today's difficult climate.
Westwood, who spoke after receiving this year's Medal of Excellence for her contribution to British design, said in order for companies to survive the financial downturn, they must look to sustain the calibre of their product, rather than aim for growth.
For this I say congrats Dame Westwood on your impeccable wisdom and ‘god like’ position in British fashion design; it is good to have you on our side making sense of it all and pushing us to be better fashionistas!’.

Every girl wants to be on the invite list to the most stylish girl in history birthday party but lucky for us this one is a massive celebration that we are all invited to!
Barbie has been gracing our presence in the most happening outfits and living the dream life with her own car, campervan, castle, house and lets not forget the dashing Ken for 49 glamorous years. Next year we see the ageless beauty turn the big five zero and wow does this girl know how to celebrate!!
Mattel, the infamous Barbie makers, have teamed up with Jeremy Scott and wait for it ..Vera Wang! To launch a designer clothing range for humans, complete with cosmetics and a glam catwalk show at New York fashion week to celebrate her 50 years of doll royalty!
The iconic doll and her journey through history will inspire the outfits’ design and the ultimate dress will be Barbie’s party frock designed by the queen of all gowns- Vera Wang. I do find this all slightly depressing that Barbie has a better wardrobe and social lifestyle than me!
I would personally love to say a pre Happy birthday to Barbie, as we were best friends for many years and ambassador to my addiction of all things clothed, shoes and hairbrushes? And I hope when I am 50 I look exactly like her!

Just knowing your there is what keeps me happy, rain or snow, ankle boots/tights or with leggings, you are the perfect centrepiece of my wardrobe.

This twisted do nearly convinced all us foolish people that this was the final look for Emma Cook's runway until the very last minute before the ladies hit the catwalk when all the slides/clips were slid out to reveal a loose tousled look.
Effortlessly chic and attainable by your average fashionista in a few simple steps....
..Dampen the hair and part into individual segments. Twist the individual sections and pin into the head. Blast with a hair dryer or leave to dry naturally if you have the time. Sparingly spray on flexible hair product and remove pins to reveal a 'go easy' hair do.
S/S 09 hair here we come!!!!

Do not be deceived...this messed up 'wet look' roll was an intricate process of parting, spraying and fiddly positioning of slides! however this look is still entirely do'able by the average being but in a more toned down way for the day.
This is a diverse look as it can be worked both night/party (Wakeley catwalk) or for day wear .You might prefer to work this look with dry hair to tone it down for a day at the office.
So, first part the hair down the back to the bottom of the neck. Once this is achieved, begin twisting the hair from the top back of the head downwards. If your hair is long, when a twist has been done on each side of the head you tie the hair at the bottom (as illustrated) and then pin it up under the roll. If you have short hair you could pin the hair as it follows the roll.
Amanda Wakeley stylist's followed a side parted, voluminous look but if center is your thing than you can work with that too!

Front row fabulous!!! Newly reformed Jaeger is a far fetch from the frumpy design they produced in the past. There turn around could not be proved more evident than the super stylish A listers on front row for their LFW show. Lizzie and Georgia Jagger , Roisin Murphy, Erin O Conner, Lady Victoria Hervey and Dame Shirley Bassey were to name a few! This plethora of celebrity was well deserved as Jaeger pulled out a wearable collection that should be expected to be seen on the back of many next season....

PPQ Aftershow Party
PPQ roared like a fashion beacon calling the 'who's who' of the fashion industry to celebrate another season of fantastic design! People pulled out their Sunday best to sipp champagne and 'twist and shout' to the Horrors DJ set of old school jive.

wow wow wow 2 many DJ's behind the decks! Manchester regulars Contort Yourself hosted a night of dirty, pounding, sweaty mash up.
Choosing only the finest of established and upcoming Manchester talent to lure the youth of 'scenster' society through the infamous doors of the roadhouse gave contort the recognition they deserved for such a genius idea.
The atmosphere was HOT HOT and made the sweat drip off bodies and ceiling.
Runned eyeliner and segmented blunt fringes showed the best dressed girls meant business with their dancing. Hard core heels were driven by the 30 min set intervals between the Dj's....
