Tramp! All Hallows Eve
Monday, 29 October 2007
mwah haa haa haaaa
Location -Kings Cross London
Event- Mulletover
No one does fancy dress quite as good as the London scene where you not only have to look unique, maintain all aspects of style and look positively horrifying all at the same time. Some costumes sent shivers up and down my spine as people heaved and ho their way through the eery, chilling warehouse. The hanging props of dolls with no eyes and endless of fake limps laying around added to the Halloween atmosphere.
Three separate rooms attracted different clientele- it was like the parting of the sea dividing the techno junkies from the minimal massive. Ripperton and Meat (Cocoon) were headlining the event playing their minimal sets. The 'We love' guys dropped tracks like mouth to mouth by Audion which sent the scene crazy mad and was enough to see many rave on till the early hours of the morning.

WE LOVE.......
We love space warehouse projects!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! placed nicely under the streets of manchester piccadilly train station.
It feels almost mystical as the haze from manchester built up smog thickens on the the decline to the underground. All is calm as i try to find my way to the venue, which i track down tribal style through the bass that was trembling through the floor up to my chest . I turn a corner....Riot! police vans, tramps, bouncers, crazy youngsters hoping to re-live their summer space experiences, sniffer dogs tracking down the hidden possessions that these young kids just love these days, taxi, sirens and the pounding pounding techno music- i enter the dark side
Once inside the atmosphere was immense! With the function 1 rolling round the archways, the rather god damn impressive light show, the cool kids and the 'We love line-up' it was a receipe for pure dazzling success! and that it was......
...kids party hard, play safe....stick to minimal/techno

HHHHHEEELLLLOOO CONTORT YOURSELF!!!!
What an amazing night! not only did the line up scream whoa! the acts themselves proved they were more than worthy.
Contort DJ'S, FUCKS AND KISSES and Man like Me filled the Roadhouse to the brim.
Contort playing their usual top end set, kept the night moving. Contort spotted Fucks and Kisses and grabbed them by the neck to play their night and what a response! Arms were moving, girls hair was flicking, boys bodies were bopping and techno moves were being pulled at all angles. This was the eve of what was to come...
Man like Me were all body, body, body. didnt take them long to take their clothes off and do their thing! The crowd was manic and full of smoke after me leaning on the smoke machine button whilst i was taking pics! oops either way i think this only added to the indefinate love for the DJ'S that once rocked roadhouse till early hours of the morning
pow! contort every two weeks...worth a visit....

1940's Rags to Bitches

Tea Ladies????
1940's glamour night at Rags to Bitches in the northern quarter manchester not only provided us with an insight to the 40's with opera singing, tea cakes, ginger ale and whiskey but also shown what lovely custom this unique vintage shop provides. The staff could not of gone out of their way more to be helpful and nice and provide their insight of the evening and give advice on glamourous buys.
wiggle dresses were here and there and tombola with vintage prizes to be won, it was a good excuse to get all dolled up, put on some red lippy and party with my girls!
All that was missing was a big fur coat!
WE HEART UFFIE- sankeys manchester
WE HEART UFFIE- sankeys manchester, originally uploaded by kellydeene.skerrit.
The loved up electro beats were pounded out by Uffie and Dj Feadz in the hot box that is Sankeys, (Manchester) this gone friday night
Uffie looking as hot as ever, not only played the crowd like a deck of cards but brought in Manchesters best dressed. With indie cindys to the left of me and neon to my right, sankeys could not of screamed 'scene' much more! However Manchester's finest lived up to expectations by letting the sweat drip off the ceiling and mess up their do's ,and be pummelled true riot style by uffies beef cake body guards when it all got that little bit too mad.
All in all Uffie was amazing and brought sankeys a whole new crowd.
